At Aetna Global Benefits (AGB), we want your employees to have the information they need before they embark on their assignment. That’s why we offer an array of pre-trip planning tools and resources, so employees can better prepare for a healthier trip.
Right on our secure member website is a set of valuable tools that employees can use to find a local doctor or hospital and to find out more information about the city or country to where they are traveling. They can also use our online translation tools to find their prescription drug equivalents and translations of specific medical terminology and phrases.

- Online provider databases — search for doctors and hospitals throughout the world.
- CityHealthSM Profiles — access to critical information including health risks, required vaccinations, local health systems, emergency telephone numbers and currency information about hundreds of international destinations.
- Translation databases — find medications that may be sold under different names in different countries and translate medical terms and phrases.
- Travel safety and security services — including alerts, country risk assessments, travel tips, news reports and more.

In addition to our online tools, employees can contact our International Health Advisory Team (IHAT) if they require assistance with obtaining medical equipment, prescription medication or locating a specialist in their country of assignment. IHAT connects employees with AGB registered nurses and a wealth of resources that are especially valuable for individuals who may have chronic health conditions and require specialty care.
Your employees can get their benefits questions answered by contacting the 24/7 AGB International Member Service Center at the number on their member ID card. We’re available around the clock, so employees can call anytime — day or night!
